Think Green WeekThe AIESEC Sustainability Series is a part of Georgia Tech's Think Green Week, which will bring an unprecedented focus on environmental sustainability and stewardship to the Georgia Tech campus.
AIESEC is proud to host a keynote lecture on the subject of sustainability by Connie Hensler.
Following the keynote lecture, AIESEC will host a networking reception for sustainably-minded company representatives to discuss sustainability issues with both students and other companies. The reception will take place in the courtyard outside of the Klaus building.

Connie Hensler is Director of Sustainable Research for InterfaceFLOR. InterfaceFLOR is the world leader in modular carpet, and is recognized as a leader in the movement of the industrial community toward environmental sustainability.
Hensler joined Interface in 1993 as Technical Director at one Interface’s manufacturing plants and progressed through manufacturing management and into corporate research and development. As Director of Sustainable Research she currently directs development of new chemistries and process modifications to transition the company to more sustainable products and processes. She is also the research liaison with Interface’s European divisions. She holds multiple US and international patents related to her work in product development.
Prior to her career with Interface, she worked twelve years in textile inks and industrial coatings at Flexible Products Company (now a division of PolyOne). Her positions there began in Quality Control and progressed through product development positions, with four years as Research and Development Manager and ending with five years as Technical Director.
She holds a Masters of Science degree in Applied and Environmental Microbiology from Georgia State University. Her undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the same university.
